Hello #Datafam

You find lots of resources to help you purchase a car or even sell a car. One piece of information you won't find online is an insight into how cars are priced, car dealership especially in Nigeria. I took the liberty of using my data analytics experience to get things into perspective about the automobile industry.

My dataset was gotten from @kaggle.com after which I proceeded to data cleaning by renaming some columns while some were removed, and other necessary things were done and a dashboard was created using PowerBI.

Some of the key insights from this analysis include:
📍Total of 2894 cars was valued at 14 billion naira with an average price at 4.99 million naira.
📍Nigerian used cars topped the list of cars that were up for sale, compared to foreign used car or brand new cars.
📍Toyota topped the brand list, while Camry, a Toyota product, came first among the car model.
📍Lagos stood top among the states in the automobile industry, followed by Abuja. Cities like ibadan have more number of cars up for sale (Number) while Lekki topped the chart with more cars going by their value(price)
📍Most of the vehicles were petrol powered.

📌Conclusion
This survey shows that more people are starting to feel the need to sell their vehicles, which is why we have more Nigerian used cars in the market compared to foreign used or brand new ones. In the same vein, Increase in cost of importation, high duty, clearing and processing fees, freight fees, increased fx rates, security insurgencies or unfriendly port environments might also have contributed to the low available of foreign used vehicles and brand new ones in the
automobile market.
